About Me

I am an English born, New Zealand raised, now London based conceptual photographer and artist. My work encompasses traditional and abstract photographic and installation practices, exploring ideologies surrounding the perception of time in various contexts.

I often approach my work questioning how I can reshape the traditional means of capturing my subjects of interest, which often involves an extensive developmental process towards creating new ways to work in camera as well as in post production.

My work is often centred around the manipulation of the viewer's perception, working in a tactile, analog space photographically towards a final output that encompasses a surreal aesthetic. My installation methods aim to depart from the general context of photographic display and merge installation art with photography as a means of adding to idea portrayal.

My interest in certain topics is often derived from experiences that help shape my own perspective and outlook on life. My interest in working with the land was born from a personal desire to escape my everyday life and find peace in independence. This has grown into a photographic practice in which I aim to work in isolated areas order to share my experience in turning to the land to reground myself and shift my perspective away from the tunnel vision that routine life can inspire.
